Serbia's student-led protests against President Aleksandar Vučić gathered more steam on Saturday, as professors joined those who are demanding justice for the collapse of the canopy of the Novi Sad train station that killed 15 people last November.

The uprising of tens of thousands of young Serbs outraged at corruption and civil liberties violations is a growing challenge to Aleksandar Vučić's government.

A dramatic incident occurred in Belgrade when a driver drove into a group of protesting students, seriously injuring a young woman. The driver has been detained, and the prosecutor has charged him with attempted murder.
