GREENBURGH — As they got ready Sunday morning to face the struggling Nashville Predators at Madison Square Garden, part of the Rangers’ preparation was trying to assimilate two new guys, young forward Juuso Parssinen and veteran defenseman Calvin de Haan, into their lineup.

De Haan, who will be playing for his sixth team in the last eight years, will make his Rangers' debut on the bottom pair alongside Zac Jones. They're both left-handed shooters, with Laviolette noting they'll try both on the right side and "have conversations" about who handles the switch better.
