The National Weather Service Melbourne confirmed an EF2 tornado hit Seminole County Monday morning. Several tornado warnings were issued for portions of Florida as a cold front moved across the state, bringing rain, strong winds and the potential for tornadoes and large hail.

Here is the path of the EF2 tornado that touched down in Seminole County, Florida, causing significant damage in Longwood.

The tornado, later given an EF2 rating by the National Weather Service, was believed to have peak wind gusts to 115 mph, equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane.
