India captain Rohit Sharma was spotted working out at a private complex in Mumbai on Wednesday morning, a day after training with the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team at the Wankhede Stadium. Rohit was seen engaging in running drills at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

Rohit scored only 31 runs in five innings in a disastrous tour of Australia, seeing him drop himself for the fifth Test in Sydney. India lost the series 3-1, and Rohit's future in the longest format of the game is up in the air.

Rohit was the first to respond to that summons. He began Tuesday morning padded up and in whites with the Mumbai Ranji team at the Wankhede Stadium. It was hours of toil in the maidans that had helped Rohit polish his talent and rise to prominence.
