If you've been to a San Antonio Spurs game recently, you likely spotted a man with a huge castle on top of his head. That's Alex Garces Jr., a lifelong Spurs fan that knows all about the unique, puro spirit the NBA team brings to the Alamo City.

Castle, a Rookie of the Year contender, was ready to leave Frost Bank Arena after contributing eight points and two rebounds in the victory. As Castle approached his car, teammates were filming him, and it became clear he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

While the centerpiece of the San Antonio Spurs is undoubtedly Victor Wembanyama, rookie Stephon Castle is emerging as a very real core player, perhaps even passing Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan.
