Nothing, because following the massive success of 2024's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, GamesWorkshop has announced that 'Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3' is officially in development in partnership with Saber Interactive and their parent company Focus Entertainment.

"We’re pleased to announce that the development for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 has officially begun at Focus Entertainment, Saber Interactive and Games Workshop," reads a statement. "We’ll share updates on this new title when the time is right. For now, our focus remains on delivering the best possible experience for Space Marine 2 players."

The Emperor protects! Warhammer 40K fans, it appears you won't have to wait nearly as long for a new Space Marine game as you did for a sequel to the 2011 original. Games Workshop announced today that Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment are working on a new installment in the series.
