The head of Israel's domestic intelligence service announced his resignation on Monday, saying he would step down on June 15, six weeks after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to oust him.

Israel's Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar announced that he will step down on June 15 following a dispute with the Netanyahu government.

Ronen Bar, the chief of Israel’s Shin Bet internal security service, said Monday that he’ll step down on June 15, defusing a dispute with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose attempt to fire him was blocked by the Supreme Court.
