The ski patrol strike at the Park City resort in Utah ended Thursday after the mountain's owners agreed to a wage hike of $2 an hour for 200 union employees.

Many have taken to social media to blast Park City Mountain and its parent company, Vail Resorts, a multibillion corporation that owns 41 ski areas in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

Park City Mountain ski patrol reached a tentative agreement to end their strike at the Vail Resorts-owned Utah ski destination and are scheduled to vote on the deal Wednesday. The nearly two-week work stoppage had created massive disruptions at one of the largest ski resorts in North America.

The new contract includes wage increases, parental leave policies, educational opportunities and a sustainable pay scale.
