Most Boston Celtics players will spend Friday getting some much-needed rest and preparing for Saturday’s showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers. Derrick White will spend Friday at the dentist’s office.

White knew part of the reason why: he had been pushing off going to the dentist’s office. After the Celtics blew out the 76ers, the starting guard explained what exactly went down that necessitated him leaving the game briefly.

White said that in recent weeks, his dentist urged him to have his permanent bridge installed, and he just kept putting it off.
