In the three-team trade, the Storm are also acquiring the No. 2 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft and forward Li Yueru from the Sparks, as well as Las Vegas' 2026 first-round pick, sources told ESPN. Los Angeles receives the 2025 No. 9 pick and a 2026 second-round pick from Seattle. The Aces receive the 2025 No. 13 pick from the Sparks.

But Plum’s move wasn’t the only splash. WNBA champion Jewell Loyd, who requested a trade at the end of last year, is also on the move, taking Plum’s roster spot in Las Vegas as part of a three-team trade.

With Jewell Loyd requesting a trade, there's an an entirely plausible scenario that could return Kelsey Plum to Seattle and into the Storm's lineup for next season.

Also, the Aces received the No. 13 pick in the 2025 draft from Los Angeles; the Sparks received the No. 9 pick and a 2026 second-round pick from Seattle; and the Storm will receive the Aces' 2026 first-round pick.

Las Vegas Aces fans may not want to hear this, but Kelsey Plum is on the verge of being traded. According to Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Aces are working on a three-team trade that would send Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks.

Kelsey Plum, Kelsey Mitchell, Satou Sabally, Alyssa Thomas and Gabby Williams have received a "core" designation from their teams which prevents them from signing elsewhere for at least one year.

Thomas’ fiancée DeWanna Bonner becomes an option, as the six-time All-Star won two titles in Phoenix. The Mercury can try to get some guard depth from the likes of Tiffany Hayes, Natisha Hiedeman and other veterans. Regardless, it seems as though Phoenix will still be top-heavy, and that lack of depth has caused it to fizzle in recent seasons.
