Maximum Carnage. On the January 15th episode of AEW Dynamite, HOOK and Christian Cage clashed in a singles match. They had been feuding for months, and HOOK finally got his hands on Cage in a singles bout.

Kenny Omega‘s AEW in-ring return has been announced for AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage on January 15th. Omega had been sidelined since December 2023 due to diverticulitis. He underwent surgery, and he did not wrestle again until NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 6th,

Taz is back on commentary, as he was part of the broadcast team at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage. Taz previously missed over two months as he had to get knee replacement surgery. AEW wrote him out of programming as he was attacked in the parking lot ahead of the October 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite.

MVP wrestled in the AEW ring for the first time at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage. MVP previously debuted at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in September, but he had not wrestled until AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.
