Robbie Williams ’ Better Man biopic has gone down like a lead balloon with US cinemagoers. The flick - which Directed by The Greatest Showman’s Michael Gracey - sees the Brit singer played by a CGI monkey as he navigates his rise to fame in boyband Take That and as a solo artist.

Fellow Christmas release, Paramount’s “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” took the No. 3 spot with $11 million from 3,582 theaters. The threequel about a blue, anthropomorphic speedster has crossed the $200 million mark domestically with $204.5 million so far, and $384.8 million globally.

"Mufasa" may still be the pride of the international box office, but "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera" is the new leader of the pack domestically.
