Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has suffered an injury in training and is out of his scheduled fight with No. 9 ranked Rob Font, which was supposed to go down at UFC Seattle on Sat., Feb. 22, 2025.

Dominick Cruz ’s return to action has been delayed. The former UFC bantamweight champion is out of his scheduled main card fight against Rob Font at UFC Fight Night 252 in Seattle. The event takes place Feb. 22 at Climate Pledge Arena and is headlined by another 135-pound matchup between Henry Cejudo and Song Yadong.

Injuries have been a recurring theme in Cruz's career. After his second UFC title defense against Demetrious Johnson in 2011, he infamously suffered three ACL tears and a quad tear. He returned in 2016 after only one fight in four years and recaptured the title with a split decision over TJ Dillashaw.
