Hawick Fire initially started 3:31 p.m. June 19 in San Diego County, California. After being active for 15 hours, it has burned 51 acres. A fire crew of 14 has been working on site and they managed to contain 75% of the fire by Friday morning. The cause of it remains under investigation.

San Diego County underwent a third day of brush fires Friday near Lakeside as fire crews work diligently to extinguish the flames. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection sent in some of its emergency response forces near Lakeside around 3 p.

Firefighters are battling a brush fire in Lakeside in East San Diego County near the Interstate 8 and Lake Jennings Park Road exit on Thursday afternoon, that is sending large plumes of smoke into the air that can be seen miles away.
