The Razzies, an awards ceremony that originated back in 1980s, recognises the ‘best of the worst’ and takes place every year a day before the Oscars. Unsurprisingly, the sequel to Joker, Folie A Deux, led the way with 7 nominations, including worst actor and actress nominations for Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

"Joker: Folie a Deux" was nominated for seven Razzies on Tuesday, leaving the sad clown atop the annual tongue-in-cheek list of the worst movies of the year.

Joaquin Phoenix won an Academy Award for Best Actor for playing Arthur Fleck in Joker. In 2025, Phoenix was nominated for a Razzie for Worst Actor playing the exact same role in Joker’s sequel, Folie à Deux.
