Pershing Square Capital Management LP has proposed a deal to merge one of its subsidiaries with real estate company Howard Hughes Holdings Inc., according to a letter to investors.

Hedge fund management company Pershing Square announced a proposal to merge with Howard Hughes in a Jan. 13 letter which would see Pershing become a “larger, permanent” owner over the real estate development company.
