The company behind Sonic The Hedgehog has once again moved away from console development to focus on new projects.

The last one to be released was the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis 2 in 2022, which featured the likes ... having released the NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Sega has no plans to produce additional mini consoles, including the Saturn ... the home console market with its iconic Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Sega Saturn, and Dreamcast systems.
