The Park City Mountain Ski Patroller Strike has come to an end, with workers and parent company Vail Resorts coming to an agreement on wages and more.

Ski patrollers at the biggest U.S. ski resort say they have reached a deal with Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort to end a strike that put a wrench in operations during the busy holiday season.

A 12-day strike by ski patrollers at Utah's Park City Mountain disrupted holiday ski vacations at America's largest ski resort, but a settlement has now been reached.

The ski patrol strike at the Park City resort in Utah ended Thursday after the mountain's owners agreed to a wage hike of $2 an hour for 200 union employees.

Mayor Nann Worel said in a statement that she and the Park City Council recognize that resort communities face significant livability challenges, and it is the workforce that all too often shoulders the weight of today’s economic pressures. Supporting a professional workforce is essential to the health, safety and vitality of the town, she said.
