Mar 24, 2004 · "Old Camden Cemetery" is the name now generally used to describe what are actually two separate interment areas. The smallest and oldest -- it dates to 1801 -- is the burial ground of the New Newton Quaker Meeting, a church established the same year.

The New Newton Quaker Meeting was at the northeast corner of Mt Ephraim Avenue and Mt Vernon Street and had a burial ground behind (north of) it. That burial ground now the southwest part of the Old Camden Cemetery.
